Vinyasa Flow and Yin Yoga TeacherYoga Styles Vinyasa Flow and Yin Yoga
Growing up in leafy Surrey I first discovered yoga at a small local class in a nearby village in my late teens and my love and passion for my practice has grown from there. After graduating from University I moved to London and began to attend regular classes whilst developing my own home practice. Leading a hectic London life and working long hours my yoga practice became my sanctuary helping me to achieve calm and balance in my day to day routine.
I studied for my 200 hour teaching training course with Heather Elton in Hatha and Vinyasa Flow and have since gone on to complete a further 200 hour training with The Yoga People in Bali in Yin and Ashtanga.
My intention is to create a safe space in my classes to allow you to relax, rejuvenate and take time out for yourself. I am also a great believer in diminishing the ego especially when practicing yoga. In life we often become gripped by defending our ‘ego-identity’. This causes us to feel stressed and under attack, constantly looking over our shoulder at what others are doing. Yoga is a very personal practice and whilst striving for self improvement can be healthy it is also important to be kind to yourself and progress with your practice at steady pace that is right for you and your body.
I currently teach group classes and private lessons in London and Surrey and I also teach on retreats in the UK and abroad.
